ye, tell me about it.

i was workin on tryin to get the RSS feeds workin yesterday, coz for some reason they got the 404 as well. it was weird.
anyway, i was messin with them for ages and changin all sortsa things and then jsut gave up. but while i was messin with them, i never checked to see if the forum parts were still workin!! so when i gave up, i jsut shut the laptop off and went for food.
then, when i got a text this morning saying it was down, i came online and saw the 404's. so, i kept tryin to fix it but couldnt. so in the end, i figured i had to change/reinstall the forum completely. luckily, i have a local copy of dingostew on me hard drive that works perfect. i had uploaded it the other day, but it was just comin up with a blank white screen and wouldnt work, not matter what i did.

afte ra bit of tinkering, i found out that in one of the files, it has the workld "mysqli", where it should have been "mysql".

in case ur wondering, mysqli and mysql are methods for communicating with the database. they're like a programming language for databases. so there ya go. the site is back up now, thanks to the removal of an "i".

also, i added back in them 3 smileys.....not that anyone but me uses them!!

coz the database is still fine. its only the forum files for the pages n stuff that keep breakin. the db is kept separate.
