The Paris Museum of Modern Art has been subjected to what "appears to be on of the biggest" art heists ever as a lone thief made off with 5 paintings potentially worth hundreds of millions of Euros!

He made off with major works by Matisse and Picasso when the museum's security system was disabled. There were three guards on overnight duty, but they claim they didn't see anything. The thief was spotted on a security camera.

Paris Mayor Bertrand Delanoe says to the thieves:

"You cannot do anything with these paintings. All countries in the world are aware, and no collector is stupid enough to buy a painting that, one, he can't show to other collectors, and two, risks sending him to prison.

"In general, you find these paintings, these five paintings are un-sellable, so thieves, sirs, you are imbeciles, now return them."

I thought these types of heists didnt happen anymore?

really they should be told that they could be sold easily so then when they try and sell them, they'll be noticed and caught easily! now the thief is gonna just keep the paintings to himself or maybe even destroy them!


ah sure, worst comes to worst, i'll make some new ones! be better than them picasso things with the ears all over the place and the colours that dont even stayin inside the lines!!
