So I got a phone call yesterday from my local college telling me I got accepted into the bachelors degree course (software engineering) I applied for! Looks like its another year of being broke for me!

I'm actually going directly into the final year of the course so its just the one year, then assuming I pass, I'll be working as a programmer from then on! No more answering phones with "Have you tried turning it off and on again?"!!

And at least now I won't have to lie on my CV anymore!!

ye another RAG Week! The Tallaght ones are meant to be crazy (see here: RAG Ball ), but they'll never have a patch on Carlow!! We'll see how it goes though. Since I'll be a "mature" student, I'll have to be all responsible and shit and not go on the piss 24/7 like in Carlow! We saw what happened there! This is my last chance to get qualified so I reckon I'll have to take it seriously, unfortunately! Besides, I'm flat broke so wouldn't have the cash to party, even if I wanted to! We're not all loaded like you, balkie, drinkin up that cheap kiwi beer! What is it like, $2 a beer in Wellington?

Actually, with all that talk of me being responsible, I've just realised I've spent the last 3 days playing Call of Duty online and Command and Conquer Generals! And I've just reinstalled StarCraft! I'll have to get bored of them all in less than 3 weeks, or else I'm screwed!

As you get older, you should be getting more "mature", so if your example of this is going back for Carlow rag week (as awesome as it was) for at least 3 years even though you were long "finished!" So you being a "mature" "student" means trouble for Tallaght especially once you start "studying". Note the quotation marks around anything to do with college!

Oh and it actually $4 (bout 2e) for any drink in my local in Welly which can be dangerous but something ya missed out on!

and it wasnt 3 years that I went back after i'd finished. I've been to a total of 7 RAG weeks, but 5 of them i was enrolled in college for! So thats 2 after college! the 3rd one i couldnt go to coz i was in Australia!
nah this time its gonna be different tho. the reason i kept going back for RAG Week was coz i still new people to go drinkin with. I wont know anyone in this college so i'll be forced to stay in, or just go drinkin with me regular mates! and none of them would be up for RAG week! and besides, that RAG weeks in Dublin are shit because they just go into clubs in town. they havent got the small town thing like carlow where theres only one pub, which works with the college to organise stuff!

$4 for any drink? even vodka red bull? or do u have to pay for the mixers? cant believe i never got over to NZ. I'll get there eventually tho. after i finish this degree and start getting paid!
