Just thought I'd start a thread for my favourite game on the XBOX. Not the 360.

In this game, you start off as Gandalf for the first level. After that, the game splits off into 3 paths. First, theres the path of the wizard, then the pathof the king, and then the path of the hobbits.

Theres abot 5 levels in each path. The best part of this game is the sheer number of bad guys you have to kill. Nothing better than coming home from a hard day and destroying 200 orcs! Its the computer equivalent of popping bubble wrap!

The best level is The Southern Gate. You start off on an empty level and the point is to go through the gate. As you get to the gate, a huge orc hpos over the wall and attacks you. All of a sudden, you're surrounded by about 100 baddies that you have to kick the crap out of. Its levels like these that are good for getting upgrades. The more points you get, the higher your level goes which unlocks extra special moves and stuff.

The cutscenes are blended very well into the game, and follow the film very well. In fact, the cut scenes are taken directly from the movie.

The Path of the Hobbits can get frustrating at times because they are so weak without any upgrades. Theres also more exploring than killing, though the Shelobs Lair level is pretty cool.

This is a classic game though. Its a pity it wasnt released on the XBOX 360 with Hi-Def graphics. Its one of the main reasons I still play my XBOX. These days you can pick up an original xbox for like 50-60 bucks, with games rangign from 10 to 15 bucks. Can't go wrong there!
