Tell me I'm not the only lingering fan of The Darkness??

I'm a huge fan of 80s classic rock and they're songs are exactly that....except with a modern hint.

"Love is only a feeling" is my favourite song. Its like they wrote it in the 80s! The guitar is amazing!

same with "Growing on me". Drop D tuning. rocks the hell out of the guitar! both solos are classic too, more so in "Love is only a feeling".

They;re from their first album. admittedly the 2nd album isnt as good, with songs like "Girlfriend" and the title track "One Way Ticket", but they definately have the signature 80s rock guitar sound with the guitar chorus rockin it like the way Thin Lizzy used to play.

For any fan of 80s rock, they're obviously a band you'd like. I have mates who dont like them coz if the cheeziness of the 80s, but thats exactly why i love them! Even some of their lyrics like in "Love is only a feeling" they sing "...and it came at a time, when the pursuit of ones true love, was the be all and end all, Love is only a feeling....".

That is the 80s summed up right there. all the movies and songs were all about people finding true love. thats something ya cant deny, and they sing songs like they were in the 80s! Brilliant!

For the 3 good songs they have, they're well worth the price of the album. i just hope they find their form again and bring us more of the same!!

They are so gay!! maybe on a drunk night out, but please tell me there not on your ipod!! hahaha

the guitar solos are classic! the subject of the songs are classic. the sound is classic. the lyrics are classic! they are classic!!

i seen them playing in dublin, they really sucked, the sound was totally off... and that xmass song they did? oh god, worst song ever, the one wih get your hands off my women is funny though

lol the xmas one was gas!! they had everyone singin about bell ends!! even the posh choir kids!!
