Tiger Cub Hidden In Suitcase With Stuffed Toy

Image
A Thai woman has been detained by airport authorities in Bangkok after they found a drugged tiger cub stashed alongside a stuffed toy in her luggage.
The 31-year-old, who was booked to fly to Iran, had checked in with an overweight suitcase, so it was sent away to be X-rayed by officials.

According to wildlife trade monitoring group Traffic, a live animal was detected and, when the bag was opened, a sedated baby tiger ...

When I went there, we got the boat about 7am and headed over. It was about 22 degrees so too cold for the Perth locals ;), ...

Ireland

I found this article in the local newspaper here in Oz:

FUN

Kiss the Blarney Stone at Blarney Castle (County Cork) and discover "the gift of the gab". Then find a three-leafed shamrock for good luck.

Ride on a jaunting car, really just a horse cart, but don't expect a comfortable ride, and do negotiate a price with the jarvey (driver) before setting off.

Check out Molly Malone's statue in busy Grafton Street (Dublin) ...

The Diomede Islands

Diomede Islands
I came across these islands today.
Not exactly a place to travel but I said I'd put it in here anyway.

The Diomede Islands are 2 islands in the Bering Strait. This is halfway between Russias most north easterly point, and Americas most north westerly point, Alaska.

There are 2 islands. The west island belongs to Russia, and the east island is US territory. The funny thing about them though, is that the ...
