UEFA ban vuvuzelas!!

Excellent! Now I can watch the European Championships in peace!!

UEFA have banned the controversial vuvuzela trumpets from all European competitions, including the Champions League, Europa League and the Euro 2012 qualifiers.

The vuvuzelas were the subject of criticism during the 2010 World Cup for their monotonous droning sound and a debate has emerged over whether they should be allowed into grounds in England.

Euro 2012 qualifiers - Ireland

Well, the qualifiers for the European Championships in 2012 begin this week. I'll be watching the Ireland games beginning this Friday at 4pm GMT away Armenia, with the first home game in the Aviva Stadium against Andorra on September 7th at 7.45pm

Twins to play soccer for different countries

This was an odd little story I came across.

Basically, two under 21 soccer players who also happen to be identical twins. One of them chose to play for Ireland, and the other plays for England.

Manchester United have signed Vitoria Guimaraes' Tiago Manuel Dias Correia, better known as Bebe today.
