Jermaine Defoe has returned to Tottenham Hotspur...12 months after Harry Redknapp bought him for Portsmouth.

Spurs have been in trouble since ex-manager Jorge Ramos sold their number 1 strike partnership of Robbie Keane (to Liverpool, currently top) and Dimitar Berbatov (to Manchester United, currently 3rd) last summer.

Spurs have since sacked Ramos, and hired Harry Redknapp, who has once again bought Jermaine Defoe, this time bringing him back to White Hart Lane for 15million pounds.

Defoe spent 12 months at Portsmouth under Redknapp, where he was quite profilic, scoring a good few goals, and starting regularly. Hopefully Spurs can pick up some momentum now and finish off with a UEFA cup spot!
