Green Day's year long run of American Idiot came to an end on April 24th 2011.

As St. Jimmy died on Easter Sunday, Billie Joe transformed from St. Jimmy to Green Day frontman continuing on playing a full hour long concert to mark the end of their stint on 44th Street.

Regular Musical/Opera show attendees were presented with the exact reason why this band have managed to get a show on Broadway... Even the ushers were leaping around in the aisles.

Set List
Only Of You
Murder City
Holiday
Burnout
Letterbomb
Welcome To Paradise
Longview
Spiderman (Cartoon Theme Tune)
Walking Out On Love (Exploding Hearts cover)
Jesus Of Suburbia

The show then moved on to a secret gig at the Bowery Electric where they performed at a private event under their pseudo names.

If didn't get a chance to see American Idiot yet... St. Jimmy will be resurrected in the fall of 2011 for Nationwide US tour, details of European dates have been mentioned but no dates as of yet.

Yeah, the play itself is amazing so having Billie Joe play St. Jimmy just added some more magic to the mix.

I'll probably come back out to see it again on it's Regional tour end of the year, just hope some of the original cast like Van and Rebecca remain in the cast :).

I have some videos up of the Green Day after show concert, will link a few here:
