McFly's Dougie Poynter, who came to the 'GMTV' studio to perform with his band, ended up jumping onto the sofa and playing on the shoulders of a surprised Andrew Castle, who soon joined in the fun in front of amused co-presenter Emma Crosby.
The show ended in a joyous atmosphere, with the 'GMTV' team bidding farewell to viewers throughout the programme and sharing jokes with them.
Castle said: "Like all families there have been squabbles along the way, but there has been no shortage of love, effort and perseverance, and we just want to say to the viewers who have been with us loyally for a long time, thank you so much."

The presenter's 17-year-old daughter also performed a song during the show, prompting Castle to comment: "She was seven years old when I started here, and we've all grown together over the years."
'GMTV' is being replaced by 'Daybreak', which starts next Monday at 6am. The new breakfast programme will be hosted by former 'One Show' duo Adrian Chiles and Christine Bleakley, who will be joined by some 'GMTV' regulars.
