CORK is the most honest city in Ireland, an experiment has revealed.
A total of 100 wallets, each containing EUR20, were placed in Dublin, Cork, Limerick and Galway, to test the nation's moral fibre.
The finders had a choice - pocket the money, hand the wallet in to the local Garda station or call the mobile number contained on a business card.
The most honest place in the country is Cork where 86% of finders tried to get the money back to its rightful owner.
And 54% of the finders across the country called the number of the wallet's owner. A spokesman for PlayStation 3, who carried out the test, said: "While Cork came first, exactly half of those surveyed in both Galway and Limerick called the number to return the wallet.
"But Dubliners are the least honest with just 45% of finders trying to reunite the wallet with its rightful owner."
