What is your favourite Real Time Strategy game?

I'm old skool and haven't gotten into the newer ones yet, basically because I've been busy travelling and working, so I'm still falling back on StarCraft and Command and conquer Red alert.

For me, StarCraft, and the BroodWar expansion pack are the best Real time Strategy Game (RTS) in a long time. there has been a few since then that are worthy of honourable mentions, but none I would class as being as good as starcraft. Its a testament to starcraft and broodwar that there are still people playing on battlenet servers 24/7.

There has also been newere releases of command and conquer, but they're pretty much the same. It'll also be interesting to see how Starcraft 2 turns out. Which reminds me, i need to buy a new laptop to play it! or at least upgrade my pc. starcraft 2 uses a hell of a lot of resources!!

I was just looking up a few websites about starcraft 2 there.

There was never actually a release date set, even though some shops had a december 3rd 2008 release date. Blizzard have said it will be released when its done, but still havent set an official release date. however, it is expected to be 2009!!

we'll see...

Played in college on my piece of shit laptop. We tried to serial connect to play against each other but couldn't.

Have a pirate copy of it so just played the d shit out of it.

Played Halo Wars there and must say they did a decent job of the controls.

did u get the copy off me? u musta at least got the serial number off me.

have u updated to the latest version? i still play it these days when im bored.


also, i've gotten into all them facebook mafia/mob games. see that other thread about it!



also, whats the difference between Halo Wars and StarCraft? same idea except better graphics? Terrans vs Zerg?
