The one I have is decent enough. Its a
Western Digital 1TB passport drive. Though its a bit iffy at the moment coz i've dropped it a ton of times, so the cable is a bit loose!!! :p
Other than that, its grand!
I reckon Jervis centre might be OK, like in Dixons or PC World. They might just be a bit more expensive. Just take note of whether its self powered, or ya need a plug. The big ones usually need a plug, so arent that portable. Mine fits in me pocket! I used to have a big metal yoke that was an absolute pain to carry around! really heave, and had the separate plug. I ended up giving it to me brother!
theres also these Seagate ones:

Do you want to be able to bring it to your friends houses, or will it purely just be for your house/bedroom? The self powered ones are more expensive, so if you werent gonna be bringing it everywhere with you, then it'll be cheaper to get a big one, like the Western Digital MyBook.
Also, you can get wireless ones now, that you can connect to from anywhere in your house, and watch films on over the network! Handy for people who have an XBOX or PS3. Prices range online from €200, down to about €50.

You'll prob pay more for them in the shops though, than online.
