So myself and a friend are entering a mobile app competition (Open Data Challenge) for a tidy little cash prize. The closing date is midnight on June 5th.
The purpose of the app is to enable access to free and open data. Currently, it gets your GPS coordinates and connects to the internet to get data relevant to your location. For example, if you're in Dublin, it might get locations of Disabled Parking bays, or in Amsterdam it might display a list of Town Halls. There's different data depending on where you are.
I'm gonna try get some work done on it tonight and tomorrow (Before the Macedonia vs Ireland game) and submit the finished article before midnight (there's not even a proper menu on it yet!). I've uploaded it here so if anyone has an android phone, can you test it and give me some feedback? I'm crap at thinking up ideas for the look of the app, so any suggestions are welcome!

You Might want to enable apps from "unknown sources" in Settings->Applications
cheers.
